A downloadable game for Windows and Linux

starting a new hobby project for a super metroid/metroid fusion style game.

i know there are hundreds of remakes and fan games, but this isn't going to be a rip off or clone.

the story line so far is basic

lost contact with colony on alien planet in charge of terraforming the planet to make it livable.
player plays a lone survivor space marine that crash lands on the planet to investigate on why the lost contact.
player finds a few survivors that have baracaded themselves in.
player finds hostile alien life and he must erradicate them in order to re-establish contact to earth, with the help of the survivors and mother computer.

no name for the game so far.

im using a mix of my own assets, free assets(no credits yet), and modified free assets.
